Darwin v PINT
This is virtually make or break for both sides, Darwin lose, they have to knock of Tahs and the Crocs, PINT lose, they have the bye and then Palmerston last round, which if they win, could still sneak in if results go their way.
Both sides lack that killer punch that could have seen them across the line a couple more times this season. However Menzies returns for the Eagles while Angus Scort comes into PINT's side, opening batsman from Geelong City.
PINT win.
Nightcliff v Waratah
Not nearly as dire for both these sides but the Tigers with the bye in the last round, don’t want to leave it to an outright against the Village. Waratah still have Darwin and Village whom they should be more than capable of knocking off.
Nightcliff were reportedly to add a Sri Lankian fastman to their stocks this week, but that has just turned out to be a rumour. Tigers have played well at home this season and don’t expect anything to change.
Tracy Village v Southern Districts
This is Southern Districts opportunity to get right back in the mix. An outright win here means, they likely only need to win one of two of the last, which gives them some breathing room. While the Village, this is an opportunity to be giant killers and potentially knock the Crocs out the race.
The issue the Crocs have here, it is a chance for them to break the shackles and hopefully see the top order fire but if they lose the toss and Village bat as they have been at home on a docile track, it may mean only the six points is on offer. Crocs have added Anthony Scott to their batting list from country Victoria while promising youngster Tye Beer will make his debut for the Village.
Crocs full points.
